So, Eli took a big ol' crap-o-la in the bathtub tonight. We were so close to being done, too. I had just taken Sophie out to dry her off, and Eli was just squatting, holding on to the side of the tub. I didn't even notice what he was doing until I heard his grunting. Hey, it sure beats the time he got out of the tub, ran into Sophie's room naked, and dropped a load onto her floor. Little Miss Sophia was NOT thrilled about that one.
Tonight when I was putting lotion on Sophie, she was talking about her friend Rachel (our next door neighbor/babysitter's daughter). She wanted to play with her tomorrow and I told her that Rachel went to Las Vegas with her mommy and daddy and brother. Sophie exclaimed, "and we're gonna go see Jesus when we are old!" She says the most touching things sometimes. Last night, after we said our prayers right before bed, she said, "that was a great prayer! Jesus loved it!" I still remember the time when she was just beginning to talk. We knelt down by her bed and I asked her if she knew how to start a prayer. She folded her hands together and said, "Oh my God." I've never laughed so hard in my life.
Steve and I bought a GMC Acadia yesterday. They are VERY nice. We get to pick it up Monday. The coolest thing about it is that it has the camera on the back, so when we're backing up, a little screen pops up on the rear view mirror and we can see if there is anything behind us. I test drove it last night and really wanted to drive in reverse the whole time because that's how fascinated I was. Steve vetoed that idea.
Sophie had her very first dentist appointment this week. She was such a trooper! I wasn't able to go, but Steve was sure to take lots of pictures and even a short video. She didn't complain at all and even wants to go back.
The best news of all: ELI FINISHED HIS LAST BREATHING TREATMENT LAST NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!!! PRAY FOR CONTINUED GOOD HEALTH!!!!!
